Sliver Delorey

Chief Performance Coach

Sliver Delorey is a former member of the Edmonton Oilers training staff from 1989- 2007. Even though he was originally hired as an Equipment Manager, being surrounded by the best Strength and Conditioning minds in the Edmonton area made it easy to get the right type of guidance to set him on the path into the Health and Fitness world and eventually was involved in Off-Season Training with the team under the guidance of their fitness consultant, Daryl Duke and Dean of Physical Education and Recreation / President of the Sport Medicine Council of Canada, Dr. Art Quinney.

Since leaving the Oilers he has worked in the Middle East, at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar and upon returning to Edmonton he has worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and runs an annual charity event named THE DUKER (named after his mentor from the Edmonton Oilers), to benefit SPECIAL OLYMPICS.

Sliver Delorey is a National Strength and Conditioning Association – Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) with Olympic Lifting Certifications and has over 15 years experience in the Sports and Fitness world.

Dominic Oppong

Performance Coach

Growing up in Toronto Dominic participated in many sports like soccer, basketball, hockey, track and rugby.  He pursued his passion of becoming a professional soccer athlete when he signed with Buffalo City in 2009 of the NPSL and later with FC Edmonton in 2011.  Dominic made his Team Canada Debut in 2005.

Dominic completed his Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the University of Buffalo in 2010.  His other Certifications include:

  • PTS (Personal Trainer Specialist) from Canfit Pro

Aspiring to increase the performance of his clients, Dominic is continually studying new movements and techniques that may be applied for an individual to meet their goal.  Even though researching new training methods has a personal advantage, he is always excited to share it with his clients.  With the knowledge he has from his athletic background, he likes to put a big focus on mental stength.  Dominic will help you achieve your fitness goals.

Karl Gellert

Performance Coach

Growing up Karl played basketball, wanting to be in better shape, as well as stronger and faster, he started lifting in his teens. Karl has been fascinated with lifting weights for the majority of his adult life.  He later discovered the work of Joe Defranco, which was his first proper introduction into strength and conditioning. He was instantly hooked, reading and watching anything he could get his hands on.

Karl completed his Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion at St. Lawrence College as well as obtained his:

  • CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) from CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology)

He loves helping people who were in the same position as him, especially working on strength and training foundations for beginners and younger athletes.  He is also extremely passionate about helping the general population, especially those in particular who may be past their “athletic” prime, but still want to be as strong, mobile and injury-free as possible.

In the years he’s been training, Karl has been extremely fortunate to have worked with a large variety of clients, ranging from football, hockey and basketball players, beginners, middle age men and women as well as the aging population. Regardless of your experience, if your goal is to get stronger, healthier and improve your performance, Karl is constantly learning and improving on techniques to get you to your goal.
